It depends on the types of equipment in the same room. Some can, some cannot.
1. Equipment that can be placed together:
- Ordinary non-metallic equipment (plastic, cement, rust-free)
- Industrial equipment that has been properly protected against corrosion and sealed.
2. Equipment that absolutely cannot be placed in the same room:
- Precision instruments, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies
- Computers, servers, monitoring equipment
- Electroplated/painted/hardware finished products, products without rust protection
- Bearings, guide rails, machine tools, metal molds
Three things must be done when placing equipment in the same room:
-
The salt spray chamber must be sealed and forced to exhaust to the outside; indoor recirculation is not allowed.
-
The room must be well-ventilated, preferably with an exhaust fan.
-
Other equipment should be kept as far away from the salt spray chamber as possible and covered with dust and rust-proof covers.
